Prior to Wave Law®, Claudia most recently served as outside legal counsel to several domestic and international technology companies, including establishing and managing the in-house legal function and serving as General Counsel and sole in-house counsel. Her experience includes a wide variety of corporate and commercial transactional legal work, including structuring, negotiating and drafting corporate, commercial and technology agreements, compliance, financings, employment matters and other general corporate matters.  

Prior to her recent outside counsel roles, Claudia served as General Counsel of two private healthcare technology companies, where she oversaw corporate and commercial transactions, intellectual property, privacy, compliance, human resources and litigation. Prior to that, Claudia was General Counsel of a publicly traded laser-based technology company in the wind energy industry, where she developed the in-house legal function. In this role, Claudia provided legal counsel and guidance to senior management on operations, corporate strategy and initiatives and was responsible for the company’s corporate and commercial transactions, financings, legal compliance, investor support, human resources and corporate governance. Prior to that, Claudia served as Associate General Counsel in the corporate and  securities department of Freddie Mac, a Fortune 50 company, where she provided legal support primarily in the areas of capitalization, SEC reporting, board support, and corporate governance.  

Prior to her several in-house roles, Claudia was in private practice with two prominent law firms. Most recently, as a senior associate in the East Coast corporate and securities practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC, the leading Silicon Valley technology law firm, where she worked with and advised senior management and boards of directors of clients at all stages on significant transactions, including merger and acquisition transactions and venture capital transactions, and day-to-day general legal matters. Prior to that, she was with Hogan Lovells LLP, a prominent international law firm, where she worked primarily on merger and acquisition transactions.

Claudia is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and the University of Michigan.
